Over the past few years, Riihimäki Cocks has established itself as a great club for young and also slightly older players striving for the top of Europe. Over the past year, several players have moved from Cocks to European fields. In the spring, Nico Rönnberg moved into the ranks of US Ivry, who played in the French league at the time. Aliaksandr Markelau also moved to La Rioja, where he is battling for Spanish title as well as European glory in European League, and most recently Djordje Djekic moved to the French league.
Cocks’ position as Finland’s leading road to Europe is supported by its good success in the Finnish Championships and its visibility in the European series against Europe’s top teams. Cocks’ junior path also supports Cocks’ work as a club that grows players for Europe’s top leagues.
New blood coming in
However, the Cocks fans should not worry about the gap left by Djekic, as new blood is coming to the venue. As a hint, the playmaker who is born in 1999, has played in one U-18 European Championships, one U-19 World Championships and one U-20 European Championships.
More about the new player will be announced in January!
